About this product
This curved transfer board bridges the gap between a wheelchair and another seat so the user can slide across while seated. As the second-generation design, it adds positioning notches on the inner edge that can locate against a suitable wheelchair frame, helping to hold the board in position.
Three round holes let you hang the board on a hook or thread a strap through it, and a hand hole makes it easy to carry. The ends are bevelled to slide under and out from the user, with non-slip grip zones underneath. It is 80 cm long, 21 cm wide and 1 cm thick, weighs 1.65 kg and has a safe working load of 150 kg.
The notches only help if they match your wheelchair frame, so check the fit first; the EK-B918 is the basic version, without notches and 1.2 cm thick. An occupational therapist can assess whether board transfers suit the user.
