About this product

This electric homecare bed looks like a bedroom bed, with an upholstered headboard and fabric-covered frame, but adjusts like a care bed. The whole sleeping platform rises and lowers between 31 and 78 cm (measured without a mattress), the back and leg sections adjust, and the lumbar section adds up to 10 cm of lower-back support. The entire platform can also tilt forwards or backwards by up to 12°.

Day to day, lower the bed to get in and out, then raise it so a carer can help with transfers and daily care at a comfortable height. TV and Zero Gravity presets, a one-touch flat button and position memory make it quick to return to a favourite position, using the handheld remote or a smartphone app. Two under-bed lights help you see the floor at night, and the included bedside support rails, 49 cm high, give you a handhold when sitting up.

The bed comes in Long Single (92 × 203 cm), King Single (107 × 203 cm) and Double Long (137 × 203 cm). The Double Long has seven motors and the single sizes five, and all sit on eight castors. An OT can help you choose the size and check that the height range suits the person's transfers.

  • People who sit up in bed to read, eat or watch TV

Good to know

  • The 31–78 cm height range is measured without a mattress. Add your mattress depth to work out the sleeping height.
  • The bed is heavy: 114 kg (Long Single), 119 kg (King Single) and 144 kg (Double Long). Eight castors help with repositioning, but plan the room layout before it arrives.
  • It runs on mains power (100–240 V), so place it within reach of a power point.
