About this product

This folding wheelchair has large 20-inch rear wheels so the user can propel themselves, plus push handles and attendant hand brakes for when a carer helps. It weighs 11 kg, folds on a double cross-brace frame to 28 cm wide, and the backrest folds down with one touch to make it more compact for the car.

Comfort details include a padded, breathable seat and backrest in 600D Oxford fabric with mesh, PU leather armrest pads and padded calf supports. Flip-up footrests clear the way for getting in and out, the ABS footplates adjust in height, and a wide adjustable seat belt is fitted. Solid tyres do not need pumping up, and the front castors swivel through 360° for tight turns.

Seat width is 45 cm, depth 41 cm and height 47 cm, with a 100 kg safe working load. Compared with the EW2000C transit chair, it is 1 kg heavier and a little larger overall, with a wider, higher seat. An OT can advise on seat size and set-up for the person.
