About this product
This transfer and walking belt goes around the user's waist and gives a carer seven handles to hold, four horizontal and three vertical, so you can grip from whichever side you are standing. It helps when supporting someone to stand up, sit down, move a short distance or walk. This is the upgraded version, with thick padded handles.
The waist is lined with breathable 3D mesh over soft foam, and a webbing strap with a buckle adjusts the fit. Two detachable, adjustable leg straps clip to the belt to stop it riding up during a transfer. Seams and load points have double-reinforced stitching, and the belt has a safe working load of 150 kg.
Choose M (66–84 cm waist), L (79–104 cm) or XL (99–120 cm). The standard EK-A101 has the same handle layout and sizes in grey, without the thick padding. An occupational therapist or health professional can show carers how to use a transfer belt safely.
