Running out of energy halfway through an outing
The trip out is fine; the trip home is the problem. How a rollator with a seat, a 2-in-1 rollator transit chair or a light transit wheelchair can keep outings going.
It is a common story. The walk to the shops, the medical appointment or the family lunch starts well. Then halfway through the legs get heavy, there is nowhere to sit, and the trip home starts to feel like a long way. After a few of those days, it is tempting to just stay home.
Plan for the tired part of the day
The goal is not to stop walking. It is to make sure there is a rest, or a ride, available when you need it.
A rollator with a seat. Walk with support and sit down whenever you need a break. The Enjoycare EKR933 Ultra-Lightweight Folding Rollator with Seat has an aluminium frame, 8-inch wheels, a seat and backrest, and folds down to 23.5 cm wide.
A rollator that turns into a chair. The Enjoycare Grace EKR936 2-in-1 Rollator & Transit Chair works as a walker on the way out. When you are done, fold the footrests down and a carer can push you the rest of the way. It weighs 9.3 kg, has a 136 kg safe working load and folds to 24.5 × 63 cm.
A light wheelchair for longer days. For bigger outings, a folding wheelchair that lives in the car boot can make the difference. The Enjoycare EW2000C Lightweight Aluminium Transit Wheelchair is designed to be pushed by a carer, and the Enjoycare EW2000H20 Lightweight Self-Propelled Folding Wheelchair lets you propel yourself, with the option of help when you want it.
