About this product

This curved transfer board bridges the gap between a bed, wheelchair, chair or car seat, so the user can slide across in stages while seated. The smooth ABS top lets you move along it, and the board is 80 cm long and 21 cm wide, with a safe working load of 150 kg.

Both ends are thin and bevelled, which makes it easier to slip the board under the hips and pull it out again afterwards. Underneath, a toothed non-slip zone 11.5 cm long at each end helps the board stay in place, and five reinforcing ribs strengthen it. A hand hole lets you carry and position it.

It is the basic version, with a continuous curve and no positioning notches; the EK-B928 adds notches for a wheelchair frame. Whether someone can use a board on their own depends on their arm strength, sitting balance and the transfer setting, so ask an occupational therapist to assess.
