About this product

This mobile shower commode combines a shower chair and a commode on four castors, for assisted bathing and toileting. The soft, waterproof PU seat has a U-shaped opening for washing, and a removable pan with lid and handle sits underneath, so the user doesn't need to transfer to a toilet. Lift the seat to take the pan out and empty it.

For hair washing or personal care, the padded backrest reclines to 135° so the user can lean back. Wraparound PU armrests give support while seated and swing outwards for transfers. Detachable leg supports with ABS footplates can be fitted or removed as needed, and four 5-inch (about 13 cm) swivel castors, each with its own brake, let a carer move and park the chair.

The aluminium frame has five height positions for a seat height of 55–61 cm, with adjustable side support bars designed to keep it stable as the height changes. The seat is 45.5 × 45 cm and the chair is 90 cm long and 46 cm wide. An occupational therapist can advise on fit, transfers and safe use.
